Weekend

Monday, March 26th, 2007

It’s now just over a week since my corrections were accepted, I still have a lingering feeling of guilt about not working on my thesis in the evenings (it’s printed and sitting in the lab so i can’t work on it any more anyway).

Yesterday we went to Montacute house. Lovely place, lots of interesting Elizibethan art in a gallery you could play cricket in as well as a couple of good 18th century pieces (their two Reynolds are considerably more impressive than their Gainsborough). In some ways I still can’t help but hate the national trust. In a way I feel the same way about them as I do about the Tories; no matter how much I agree in principle with some of what they do or say, I still can’t get over the fact that deep down both are institutions for the preservation of toffs.

In other news, I’m still shit at football.

Well that’s a relief

Have just heard that my corrections were approved, I’m very nearly a Doctor.
