1-3-5 blink blink blink (Dell Rant)

The National Trust

Tuesday, March 29th, 2005

Did you know that Americans can join the national trust (actually its US sister organisation the Royal Oak) for nearly 1/2 what we pay, with the same access to properties but no voting rights?

On every night in which I have slept recently, I have had the same dreams where i vividly experience one or more of my teeth falling out, its really quite disturbing.

Wierd day, couldn’t sleep again last night, much annoyance.

Scored my first goal (after about 4 months of playing….) in a football friendly today, the score was 14-7 to us and it was five a side, so statiscally i should have scored 1.8 more but still its a start.

We have been voltunteered to shoot a video documenting the progress on the software demonstrator for the EU project we are working on, the requirements are “Must include somebody doing something cool with a PDA and GPS” not sure what this entails but should be fun… (and yes the PDA does have a vibrate function, but no we won’t do that…)

Also a chinese guy in our lab gave me some lotus-flour (not flower) cake , which was nice, if not a bit crumbly and floury.

The weekend went something like: woke up on saturday at 6 am, worked at uni till 6pm, had dinner, went to sleep, woke up on sunday morning and remembered that gran turismo 4 had arrived, and umm … how the hell did it get to be 3 in the morning?….

Today: we slept in a bit, i knocked up some breakfast, we went to town and did some shopping, i bought some CDs and a wok, we had coffee, we came home, then we had dinner and played monopoly.

I’m telling you this because it was so extraordinary.

I’m a big fan of giving people credit for what they do, especially when the “people” is “me”, randomly today i found this. Its nice to know that somebody, somewhere cares. :)

Should do Shouldn’t do

Tuesday, March 8th, 2005

Should have done, did do: spent 10 hours working solidly.
Should have done, didn’t do: gone to sleep a bit earlier.
Shouldn’t have done, did do: Vented spleen at somebody on a mailing list for not including my bug fix.
Shouldn’t have done, didn’t do (just): bought 10 Frank Zappa tapes for $35 (Actually $58 including P&P)
